Bitnami Matomo Module is a free and multiplatform software project that provides a module for the Bitnami LAMP Stack product, allowing users to deploy the Matomo application on top of that installation. It is distributed as native installers, along with the Bitnami Piwik Stack product.
What is Matomo?
Matomo (formerly known as Piwik) is a free and open source real-time web analytics software program that provides you with detailed reports on your website visitors, such as the search engines and keywords they use, your popular pages, the language they speak, and much more.
Installing Bitnami Matomo Module
As mentioned, Bitnami Matomo Module is distributed by Bitnami as native, universal installers, which have been built using the BitRock InstallBuilder tool and are compatible with all Linux kernel-based operating systems. To install Matomo on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) server, download the package that corresponds to your PC’s arch, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run Matomo on the cloud or virtualize it
Thanks to Bitnami, users will also be able to run Matomo on the cloud with their hosting platform or by using Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images for Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. Additionally, Matomo can run virtualized, as BitNami also offers a virtual machine image for the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software, based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) release of Ubuntu.
