Bitnami OXID eShop Module is a multiplatform and freely distributed software project, a module that can be used on top of a Bitnami LAMP installation, specially designed for the OXID eShop software. It aims to simplify the deployment of OXID eShop on GNU/Linux operating system for people who know nothing about how to install a database or web server.

Oxid is an open source, free, flexible and trusted e-commerce system that features a modular and modern architecture, a wide range of functionality, as well as support for themes and a powerful plugin architecture that allows users to extend its default capabilities.
Installing Bitnami OXID eShop Module
Bitnami’s OXID eShop stack and module products are built using the BitRock InstallBuilder tool, which means that they are compatible with all GNU/Linux operating systems, as well as with the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows OSes.
To install OXID eShop on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) server, simply download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run OXID eShop on the cloud or virtualize it
Thanks to Bitnami, you can also run OXID eShop on the cloud, with your own hosting platform or with Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers, using Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images.
The Bitnami OXID eShop Stack and Docker container
Besides installing OXID eShop on top of your LAMP stack or run it on the cloud, it is possible to virtualize it using Bitnami’s virtual machine image based on the latest stable release of Ubuntu Linux. The VM image is compatible with the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software. A Docket container for OXID eShop is also available for download from the project’s homepage.
