What is Roundcube?
Roundcube is a free, web-based and open source multilingual IMAP client (webmail) that features an application-like user interface. It provide MIME support, folder manipulation, address book, spell checking and message searching. Roundcube’s interface is beautiful and modern.
Installing Bitnami Roundcube Module
To install the Bitnami Roundcube Module on your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) server, you will have to download the installer that corresponds to your computer’s hardware platform (32-bit and 64-bit are supported), run it and follow the instructions provided on the screen. Bitnami’s native installers are compatible with any GNU/Linux distribution.
Run Roundcube on the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, users can deploy Roundcube on the cloud using a pre-built image for the Amazon EC2 or Windows Azure cloud providers. In addition, it is also possible to virtualize Roundcube using the virtual machine images based on the latest LTS version of Ubuntu and designed for the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software.
The Bitnami Roundcube Stack
In addition to the Bitnami Roundcube Module product reviewed here, Bitnami also offers an all-in-one installer that greatly simplifies the deployment of the Roundcube webmail system on any computer. The Bitnami Roundcube Stack is perfect for people who know nothing about installing a database or web server.
