What’s new in JHBuild 3.34.0:
- Support ‘python3’ sysdeps.
- Speed up AptSystemInstall.
- Improvements to the documentation.
- CI improvements.
JHBuild is an open source command-line utility that is mainly used on and especially designed for the GNOME desktop environment, to compile its packages.
JHBuild will automatically download and compile all the source packages that are part of the GNOME desktop environment. The program also handles all the dependencies required by the respective GNOME packages.
In other words, this magical tool can be used to manually install the latest (stable or development) version of the powerful GNOME desktop environment on your Linux operating system.
These days, JHBuild has been ported to other projects, not only GNOME. Check out its homepage for more details.
