qomp stands for Quick Online Music Player and it’s an open source software project that has been designed to act as a music player for different online music services, including Yandex.Music, ProstoPleer.com and Myzuka.ru.

Key features include the ability to playback music files from your local filesystem, search and play music from various online sources, support for playlists, Last.FM scrobbling support, support for publishing the currently playing song via MPRIS (Media Player Remote Interfacing Specification), proxy support, as well as system tray support.

The program’s graphical user interface is written with the help of the Qt GUI toolkit and has been designed to be simple and easy to use. It provides users with basic audio controls, such as play, stop, forward or rewind, as well as a volume slider and support for adding more songs or creating playlists directly from the main window.
