Get things done more efficiently with the help of Remindr – a simple yet efficient reminder app
What’s new in Remindr 1.5.1:
- Additions:
- Reminder amount indicators for tasks with multiple reminders.
- 24-hour time formatting is now supported! (Change preference in settings)
If you’ve ever spent a couple of hours creating the perfect grocery list on a piece of paper, only to realize that you forgot to bring it along with you at the store, then you should understand the importance of reminders.
Reminders can help you get things done more efficiently, help build habits, and even act as a sort of fail-proof method with tasks that are way too important to be trusted even to habit.
Of course, we all have to-do lists and calendar apps on our smartphones and PCs, however, if you have no reliable way of reminding yourself to actually do them, they can become pointless at times.
Never forget about what needs to be done with Remindr
This is where Remindr comes into play. It’s a free, Electron-based app for Windows, macOS, and Linux that reminds you about the things you need to do.
In short, it helps you keep track of your tasks, even though calling the app a task manager is somewhat of a stretch. One of the main benefits of the app is that it’s capable of delivering simple and useful reminders any minute of the day.
Feature rundown
By all accounts, Remindr is not a complex app. It’s purposefully designed to be as simple as possible and it places a great emphasis on being exactly what it was designed to be – an efficient reminder app, and not much else.
Be that as it may, it does have a couple of nice touches. For instance, it has online synchronization, support for recurring and repeating reminders, and it can also group and filter reminders (by time).
The Settings is also not very comprehensive. It allows you to set up the app to open at system startup, which types of reminders the app loads by default, as well as to choose between 3 default GUI themes and a custom one that can use custom backgrounds.
Verdict
Achieving maximum productivity is definitely something most of us struggle with. However, there are some apps that can really make a difference, and Remindr is one of them.
It’s definitely not on the level of modern task managers, but it has enough features and customization options to make a difference in your life.
