The Cloud Server edition of Ubuntu is an official flavor dedicated to skilled system administrators who want to deploy Ubuntu in the cloud, as well to built powerful cloud servers based on the world’s most popular operating system, Ubuntu Linux.

The project is distributed as pre-built binaries, supporting the 64-bit (amd64), 32-bit (i386), ARM Hard Float (ARMHF) and ARM64 (ARM 64-bit Power Little Endian) CPU architectures. It is also available for download as QCOW2 disk images to deploy the OS on top of an existing KVM or QEMU virtualization software.

Additionally, Ubuntu Cloud Server is distributed as pre-built cloud images designed for the Amazon EC2 cloud hosting provider, so you will be able to deploy Ubuntu in the cloud with a single mouse click. OVF (Open Virtualization Format) images are also available for those of you who want to virtualize the cloud server.
