Viper Browser is one of the many privacy-oriented web browsers out there. It’s not the most modern, or the most feature-packed app of this sort out there, however, it does offer an interesting experience when compared to other more resource-hungry privacy browsers out there.
The underpinnings of Viper Browser
Viper Browser is all about two things: privacy protection and simplicity. Since it uses the QtWebEngine, it’s also remarkably lightweight, especially when compared to most of today’s Chromium-based browsers.
Most of the browser’s privacy protection comes from the fact that it allows you to add various advertisement blocking elements. These include, EasyList, EasyPrivacy, blocking off cookies, as well as various uBlock filters.
Looks and functionality
As mentioned at the start of the review, this is not the most complex browser out there. You can manage cookies, work with multiple tabs, manage bookmarks, as well as add user scripts, new user agents, disable JavaScript, and even prevent images from loading up.
