Bitnami Dolibarr Module is a multiplatform and free software project, a module that can be used on top of a Bitnami LAMP, WAMP and MAMP stack, specially designed for the Dolibarr web-based application.

What is Dolibarr?

Dolibarr is an open source and free web-based software package for small and medium companies, foundations or freelancers, offering them ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) features.

Installing Bitnami Dolibarr Module

The Bitnami Dolibarr Module product reviewed here is distributed as native installers, which have been built using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool, designed to work on all GNU/Linux distributions.

To install the Dolibarr application on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack, you will have to download the file that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (64-bit or 32-bit), make it executable, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.

Virtualize Dolibarr or run it in the cloud

Thanks to Bitnami virtual appliance based on the latest stable version of the world’s most popular free operating system, Ubuntu Linux, you will be able to virtualize Dolibarr on the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX, ESXi virtualization software.

In addition, Bitnami offers pre-built cloud images that allow users to run the Dolibarr application and its runtime dependencies in the cloud, with their hosting platform or on the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers.

The Bitnami Dolibarr Stack and Docker container

Besides the Bitnami Dolibarr Module product, users can also download an all-in-one solution that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the Dolibarr web-based application, as well as of its runtime dependencies, on desktop computers and laptops. It is called Bitnami Dolibarr Stack and can be downloaded for free on Softpedia. A Dolibarr Docker container will also be provided on the project’s homepage (see link below for details).
