Bitnami JasperReports Stack 7.1.0-0

Bitnami JasperReports Stack is a freely distributed and cross-platform software project that has been designed from the ground up to help you with the installation and hosting of the JasperReports web-based application, as well as of its runtime dependencies, on desktop computers or laptops.

What is JasperReports?

JasperReports Community Edition is an open source web-based application that has been designed from the offset to act as a report server, built by the developers of JasperReports, the leading open source reporting library.

Installing Bitnami JasperReports Stack

The Bitnami JasperReports Stack product is distributed mainly as native installers for all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as for the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems, supporting 32-bit and 64-bit (recommended) hardware platforms. To install JasperReports on your personal computer, just download the file that corresponds to your computer’s arch, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.

Run JasperReports in the cloud

In addition to installing JasperReports on your PC, you can also run it in the cloud using Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images, which have been engineered to support the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting services.

The JasperReports Docker container and virtual appliance

Besides running JasperReports in the cloud or installing it on a personal computer, you can also virtualize it, thanks to Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version of the Ubuntu Linux distribution and designed to support the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software.

The Bitnami JasperReports Module

Unfortunately,Bitnami  does not offer a Bitnami JasperReports Module product of the JasperReports application, which could have helped users to deploy it on the Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack, Bitnami WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack and Bitnami MAMP (Mac, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Stack products, without having to deal with its runtime dependencies.
