What is phpList?

phpList is a platform-independent, open source and free web-based application that provides an one-way email announcement delivery system. The software can be used for email notifications, publicity lists, as well as newsletters.

Installing Bitnami phpList Module

Installing the phpList app on your GNU/Linux operating system has never been easier with Bitnami phpList Module. Considering the fact that you already run a healthy Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack, download the binary package that corresponds to your computer’s architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), make it executable, run it with a double click and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

Running phpList in the cloud or virtualize it

Besides installing phpList on personal computers, top of a Bitnami LAMP Stack, you can run it in the cloud using Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images for Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers, as well as to virtualize it on Oracle VirtualBox or VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software using Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on the latest Long Term Support release of Ubuntu Linux.

The Bitnami phpList Stack and Docker container

For those of you who don’t have a LAMP installation and want to install phpList and its runtime dependencies on personal computers, we recommend grabbing the Bitnami phpList Stack all-in-one installer from Softpedia. In addition, a Docker container for phpList will be available on the project’s website.
