As its name suggests, PDF Arranger is a an app that helps you manage PDFs by (re)arranging their contents.
It’s a free, open-source, and cross-platform (also works on Windows), GTK app built with Python that allows users to merge and split PDFs, as well as rotate, crop, and rearrange their pages.
Basic information about PDF Arranger
PDF apps that can do what PDF Arranger does are not particularly rare, but that doesn’t mean that PDF Arranger is not worth checking out. It is a front end for pikepdf, one of the best libraries for reading and editing PDFs (powered by qpdf) out there.
PDF Arranger is also a fork of another, more popular app called PDF Shuffler. The whole point of PDF Arranger is to reinvigorate the project and make it a bit more active.
Feature rundown
Even though it’s not exactly eye candy, the app’s GUI is quite decent, with a simple top toolbar, and a contextual menu that provides access to pretty much all of the app’s features and functions.
Simply load one or multiple PDFs, rotate their orientation using the controls from the top toolbar, and use the contextual menu to do the rest. Once you’re done, you can either export the PDF or use the Save and Save As controls from the top toolbar once more.
You can install the app for your Linux distro by building it from source, or directly via Flathub, which should be a way more convenient option for most users.
Conclusion
PDF Arranger might not be the shiniest PDF management utility out there, but if you’re not looking for anything more than an app that can help you effortlessly rotate, crop, merge, split, and rearrange pages of your PDFs, then this app is more than adequate.
