Installation and usage

For GNU/Linux users, the software is currently distributed only as a universal binary for DEB-based operating systems, including Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, and others, supported on both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware architectures. To install it, simply download the package using the dedicated Download button above, save the file on your Home directory, double click it, and follow the on-screen instructions.

xProDDNS will install a server on your computer, running entirely in the background. To access it, you must open a web browser on another computer on the same network and type something like http://host-ip-address:8008, where you must replace “host-ip-address” with the actual IP address of the computer where you’ve installed xProDDNS.

During the initial setup, you must agree to the license agreement, set a new passphrase, and follow the instructions displayed by the built-in setup wizard that will pop-up when the application will load. For more details you can always check out the official website of the project.
